Forbes has served as Principal with Legacy Wealth Management since its founding in 2019. He has over forty years of investment experience, including five years as investment manager of a five-star Morningstar-rated mutual fund. He also spent six years as co-manager for over $1 billion in institutional assets for a Minneapolis investment company, before leaving to co-found Mississippi Investment Management Company in 2010, where he was the managing member. Forbes’ career includes opportunities in corporate finance and trading NASDAQ securities in Over-the-Counter markets. He also served on the board of a local community bank for four years before its sale in 2007.
Forbes is a graduate of the University of North Texas and received his MBA from Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi. He is a member of the CFA Institute. More recently, Forbes received a Master of Theological Studies from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth. He resides in Madison with his wife, Jo Anne, and has two adult sons. Forbes and Jo Anne attend Holy Trinity Anglican Church, where he was long-time Treasurer and has served multiple terms on the Vestry, including as its Senior Warden.
