Reid joined Legacy as an Analyst in January 2023, specializing in identifying, recommending, and monitoring securities for client portfolios. Along with these responsibilities, he oversees planning and advisory activities for individuals and families. Reid believes in a holistic approach when it comes to managing client needs and goals, which include investment management, cash flow management, tax, and estate planning.
Prior to joining Legacy, Reid was an Assistant Vice President and Loan Officer at the Bank of Yazoo from 2019 to 2022. His duties included commercial, consumer, and private client lending activities. In addition to his role as a lender, he assisted with the management of the Bank’s fixed income portfolio, served as an auditor on the Asset Liability Management Committee and served on the company’s 401(k) and Investment Review Committee.
Reid earned a B.B.A. from the University of Mississippi in 2019, double majoring in Managerial Finance and Banking & Finance. He then pursued the executive education program for CFP® certification through the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia. After completing all required course work and passing the board exam, Reid became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® in August of 2023.
Reid is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hiking, fly fishing, and hunting, often seeking new adventures in nature. When not in the woods, he travels across the SEC to attend sporting events, fueling his passion for college athletics. An Eagle Scout, Reid values service, leadership, and community. He is also an active member of Holy Trinity in Madison, where he is involved in his faith and church life. Balancing adventure, community, and faith, Reid strives to live with purpose and make a positive impact.
